Days Between Attacks

The Three Series Used by the Ripper

Jack constructed three series of numbers based on his Timetables – see below.  Some of the series elements are arranged in 2:1 patterns or relationships. Jack’s purpose was to show how he sent messages by  deleting series elements in 2:1 patterns.

Element Patterns

Jack divided the days between attacks in 1888 into many 2:1 relationships.

The first two elements form 2:1 relationships with the following four elements.

The first element, 126, is twice 22 plus 41, with 22 being the second of the final four elements when viewed from left to right. When we look at the final four elements from right to left, 41 is the first element. Thus, 22 and 41 form a 2:1 pattern in the final group of elements.

The second element (24), is half of 8 plus 40. Once again, the position of the numbers 8 and 40 in the final four elements gives rise to a 2:1 relationship (see below).

There were 11 days from the final Whitechapel murder in 1888 to the end of the year. Similarly, the end of 1889 occurred 112 days after the police discovered the Pinchin Street Torso. and there are 321 days from the murder of Frances Coles to the end of 1891.

When we add 11 and 112, we get 123; the reverse of the 321. On the other hand, if we view 321 in the Ancient Egyptian manner, then the number is equivalent to 123. That’s because  the Ancient Egyptians read from right to left with the most significant digit in a number being on the right. Thus, if we treat 321 in this manner, then the sum of the first two numbers  creates a 2:1 relationship with the final number (see above).
